Arrival
As a destination in the heart of Switzerland, Brienz is so easy and convenient to reach.
By car
From Interlaken Brienz is reached by road in 25 minutes on the A8 motorway and from Lucerne in around 1 hour over the Brünig Pass. Car parking is available close to the Brienz Rothorn Railway station and is signposted.
The parking places are chargeable. It coast for one day CHF 5.00.
Long term parking places for busses you will find at the municipal administration , about five minutes from our station. They are not chargeable.
By train
The Zentralbahn (Central Railway) operates a direct service from Lucerne and Interlaken to Brienz via the modern, well-constructed, norrow-gauge Brünig section (part of the Golden Pass line). The Brienz Rothorn Railway station is immediately opposite the Brienz station of the Central Railway.
By ship
As a special tip, why not arrive in a different way: board a ship at Interlaken Ost for a relaxing 1 h 15 min. cruise over the turquoise waters of Lake Brienz to Brienz. The ship jetty in Brienz is immediately opposite the Brienz Rothorn Railway station.
