Family excursions at the Brienzer Rothorn
The Brienzer Rothorn is the ideal place for family. Children can see more interesting things along the line: Alpine flower, cows, pigs, and with some luck you can even see mountain goets or ibex. The middle station Planalp is the ideal place for families with young children to take short hiks or have a simply picnic.
The fairy tale railway HOPP for unforgettables family excursions
For our youngest guests we have a special fairy tale train set called «HOPP». In this train a women is telling about «HOPP - the steam railway ghost». Arrived on the Brienzer Rothorn each child will know «Hopp» and his friends.

CHF 15.-- for children, adults pays regulary price
CHF 10.-- for children, one way
All children for free till to their 6th birthday. Children from 6 to 12 years in company with minimum one adult pay for there and back CHF 15.00 and for one way CHF 10.00
Short story about "HOPP - the steam railway ghost"
Normal ghosts get up to mischief at night. But just scaring people is far too boring for HOPP the steam railway ghost. There's far more fun to be had during the day! And so one day he leaves his family castle near Giessbach Falls to make his cosy new home on the other side of Lake Brienz, in the funnel of a steam engine belonging to the Brienz Rothorn Railway. Every morning, with the train's first puff of steam, HOPP floats out of the funnel ready for new adventures.
