The mountain Hotel Rothorn Kulm is built at 2254 m above sea level. You will forget the bustle of daily life and enjoy the serene stillness on the mountain summit and have a wonderful view.
The Hotel is open from the 5th of June to the 17th of October, the restaurant remains open one week longer then the hotel until the 24th of October 2010.

History of the mountain hotel Rothorn Kulm
To even think about putting a hotel at this height wa a crazi idea. but sometimes the best ideas are. In 1823, the first hotel was built for the few adventura and climbers could have a warm and safe place to spend the night. By 1838, the first restaurant was built. Sadly in 1846, they both fell victim to fire. The first plains in 1854, for the reconstructions failed, until the Hotel Investors Group was foundet in 1866 and the money and planes were laid down. Construction of a 33 room, a grand restaurant, social rooms for both sexes (usual in this time in history). Again, fait struck again, the entire hotel and the newly constructed stables burnt to the ground. In 1893 reconstruction, begin once again. After many plan changes to fit the need of the guests, the hotel to this day continues to retrofit to meet its customer's needs.
