Steam-Sausage-Express

The Steam-Sausage-Express departs Brienz at 10:00 each Wednesday morning from 5th June until 16th October. The time table for this service incorporates a refreshment stop at Planalp where guests are provided with a healthy chunk of unique ‘Rackrail’ bread and locally produced cheese sausage. Non-alcoholic drinks are also included. The ‘very extra attraction’ is that the sausage is cooked in the loco’s steam kettle and served to guests by their driver and fireman. This trip is extended to 1¾ hours for the journey up to the peak of Rothorn Kulm. Return is via any timetabled service.
